What is Anwa?
The anwa of the Sidhe is something intrinsic to the eternal nature of each Sidhe. It is a calling that is put in motion through pure, unconditional love. Anwa is one's calling fully engaged in life. It is Spirit in Motion in the world. Anwa is active. The Sidhe indicate we do not have a word for this. There is intentionality in anwa, with life moving and flowing in and around it. It is the "pattern created as the soul flows into your life and as your life flows into the world." Anwa shows who a Sidhe is, what they do, and the motion of their being moving outward into the world.
The Sidhe are very sensitive to the anwa of all living things. They work with the anwa of plants, animals, and regions of land.
In David Spangler's book Engaging with the Sidhe, Mariel of the Sidhe explains, "Anwa is the song of your whole self singing in joy for being alive and in this world...joy is the essence of anwa." Mariel invites people to be joyous in being yourself and in being in your world - and you will feel your anwa.
