The Lion, The Sword and The Stone
This card from the Card Deck of the Sidhe by Jeremy Berg and David Spangler is called Sovereignty. The Sidhe indicate that it is the card representing the Eternal Individuality. The stone represents the bodily and spiritual sheaths of an incarnated person. The sword is the Soul, Oversoul, Monad, or Divine Spark ignited into a flame of the true intentions streaming in from one's eternal nature. As one chooses freely to accept the invitation to enter the Blessed Stillness of nothingness, surrendering into absolute quietude all one thinks they know and all one feels, the more the sword or "I" being's shining light streams in to the incarnated individual.
The Lion within us is ever present. He is inwardly still, always watchful, able to sit without making a move. He is intuitive and wise, connected to all the realms around him. The Lion is courageous with great strength. It takes courage to follow one's true path.
Mariel of the Sidhe communicates, "The Gaian King or Queen does not pull the sword from the stone but plunges it in more deeply." The deeper the light of the eternal individuality, the more one's true longings pour forth and manifest in our world. This is one's anwa. The "I" being's nature and intentions weave and flow in pure love through life. As one connects more fully with one's eternal essence, one is increasingly able to co-create in fullness with the Sidhe in sacred service with the All.
